Yoga & Meditation for your Chakras
We each have 7 major chakras in our body. Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. Chakras are wheels of energy. Each chakra awakens consciousness and teaches a different lesson. Awareness of your chakra system and learning to awaken, purify, and align your energy field, promotes optimum physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Many people are not aware there is a deep and direct tie with the balance of our chakras, and our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

We start with the Muladhara, or Root chakra located in the base of the spine. The Svadhistana, or Sacral chakra is located in the area of our reproductive organs. Manipura, or Solar Plexus chakra is located by our navel. Anahata, or Heart chakra is near our heart. Vishudha is our Throat chakra. Ajna is our Third Eye chakra, and the Sasrahara or Crown chakra can be found at the top of our head.
Monday, May 1, we will begin a three week yoga and meditation series focused on Chakra awareness. Each class will focus on a different chakra explaining the various organs it rules or regulates along with how you can identify whether your chakra is in balance. If we have any chakras that are out of balance we will review ways that you can bring it back into balance through the foods we eat, aromatherapy, and feng shui. Specific yoga kriyas (sets of movements) along with meditations will also be taught to help us balance our chakras.
Classes will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 A.M. The class fee is $6.00 per class, or if you choose to pay for the entire 3 week series (9 classes) in advance the fee is $45.00.
