Upachaya In The Media

Media in Kayaks and Paddleboard

Local Media enjoying kayaks and paddleboarding at Upachaya

Today, Upachaya Eco-Lodge and Wellness Resort had the pleasure of hosting a few individuals from the local media. Representatives from Canal 27, the local Roatan TV station; Canal 39, a TV station from the mainland; and Diario Roatan, a digital newspaper from Roatan. In addition, Ian Drysdale, Manager of Healthy Reefs for Healthy People; and Manlio Martinez, Manager of Go Blue Central America for Roatan; joined the group all in the spirit of promoting tourism on Roatan.

Just a handful of properties were chosen to be highlighted in this segment, of which Upachaya made the shortlist. Upachaya was chosen for the uniqueness we offer with our yoga, and water adventures, respecting Mother Nature, and promoting sustainable vacationing.

Upachaya Eco-Lodge and Wellness Resort continues to be recognized as one of the premier resorts on the island targeted for those that are looking for rest, relaxation, and being away from the typical touristy areas. For individuals looking to get away from the hubbub of life, to rejuvenate and re-energize, they are finding that Upachaya answers that call.

We offer a tranquil setting, offering calm and tranquility, yet for those looking for a bit more action, we also have the water activities, and yoga which can  soothe the soul as well.  The beauty of our location is having the solemnity mixed with the adventure meaning when you are out and about whether it be on a kayak, snorkeling, or on a paddleboard, it is rare for you to see anyone else in the sea.  You will find no competition from fishing boats, water taxis, other kayakers, or any other such activity.  You simply have the ability to enjoy the reef, the marine life, and the surrounding area in peace.

Once the programs have been aired, I will be adding links to the videos so you can see for yourself, what Upachaya Eco-Lodge and Wellness Resort has to offer.
