Upachaya Yoga Retreat – Birth A New You

Guest in pontoon boat for snorkel tour

Zen Sea Meditation

Great Success for our Yoga Retreat!

This past weekend Upachaya Eco-Lodge and Wellness Retreat hosted our “Birth A New You” yoga retreat.  This retreat was focused on utilizing the energy of the New Moon to help us dig deep and consciously help to change our subconscious and renew ourselves.  We had a variety of yoga classes including Kundalini, Yin, by Barbara Wastart and Yoga Flow by Michele Rauter offered to our participants.

Guided meditations concentrated on unlocking the infinite power within, as well as helping us to subconsciously journey to self to find hidden blockages in various aspects of our lives.  We uncovered our views of authority; how we perceive death; how we measure our self-esteem; how we value our mind/brain and the knowledge we have gathered to date; our attitude toward positive/negative polarity of life; our unconscious goals in life; our perception of love; our feelings toward the outside world; and linking to our psychic abilities.

Warmth, camaraderie, and forging new friendships became a big part of this weekend as the participants shared life stories, communing with each other in between yoga classes, meditations, and our Zen Sea Meditation, otherwise known as a pontoon snorkel tour.

We completed our retreat offering healthy delicious vegetarian fare with many foods grown at Upachaya.

This is the first retreat at Upachaya Eco-Lodge and Wellness Retreat for 2015, and will be followed by many more throughout the year.  If you care to participate in a week long event, please view the upcoming retreat in March conducted by travelroots.org  Also stay tuned and check out our event calendar regularly as we begin to add more retreats for the upcoming months.
